In my continuing efforts to provide updated information on fun, inexpensive things to do with your family over the summer, I have again researched dollar or free movie theater offerings for this summer.
Summer movies are great to avoid the heat and perhaps see some movies on the big screen that you missed the first time around. These movies often are on Redbox, but seeing a movie at the theater is always fun and with these programs it is a cheap outing!
Besides saving on ticket price, you can save money by:
- asking about discounted food offerings that may go along with these summer programs. If none, ask about free refills.
- packing a lunch to go on a picnic at a park afterwards.
- asking about senior discounts, reward programs, mom and baby viewings, and special discounted showtimes for your next visit.
Be sure to ask if you can purchase tickets in advance or if you can only get them that day. If so, go early because lines can be long!
